12/12/18

Whether it's Kevin Hart tweeting himself out of a job, or the President of the United States forgetting to turn on his iPhone's autocorrect, there's never a dull day on Twitter Dot Com.

Keeping on top of the Internet's fastest-moving TL is no easy task, however. This is why We Are: The Guard has done the hard work for you and compiled all of the must-read celeb tweets into the latest edition of 10 Twitter Moments.

OFFSET MISSES CARDI B

Did that line from Cardi B's “I Like It” come to anyone else's mind while reading this tweet from Offset?! “I like texts from my exes when they want a second chance.” Haaa.

For real, though, Twitter isn't going to be the same without Cardi and Offset regularly updating us on their sex life :(.

CARDI B DOESN'T MISS OFFSET

Offset may be a cheating bum, but at least Cardi B is busy living her best life on the set of the “Money” music video, which the Invasion of Privacy rapper tells fans will be available to watch “soon.”

Meanwhile, my bank account was fully replenished simply by looking at this outfit.

OVERCOATS' NEIGHBOR LOVES A STAR IS BORN

We discovered a whole lot about Overcoats in our recent episode of Bandlyweds, but something that we didn't learn about the girls is that their neighbor really, really loves the A Star Is Born soundtrack.

There's just one tiny detail that I've failed to mention, however.

I am said neighbor.

Everybody now! “I'M OFF THE DEEP ENDDD! WATCH AS I DIVE INNN!

POST MALONE AND METALLICA ARE BFFS

Post Malone just keeps on climbing the ranks of rock superstardom. Having collaborated with Aerosmith at MTV's VMAs earlier this year, the Beerbongs & Bentleys rapper has now shared these photos of him posing alongside the three most important members of heavy metal behemoth Metallica: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Kirk Hammett.

Next up: Paul McCartney reunites The Beatles, with Post to take on the role of John Lennon.

GABRIEL BLACK SAYS THAT HE'S THE “BEST LYRICIST COMING UP”

It's one thing being an incredible musician, but it's a whole other ball game being an incredible lyricist. gabriel black is one of those rare talents who ticks both boxes with his art, and it's great to see the enigmatic emo singer-songwriter recognizing and celebrating that on Twitter.

P.S. Don't forget to check out gabriel's latest single “goodbye” for me, okay?!

JOHN LEGEND RESPONDS TO JACQUEES

Jacquees caused quite the stir on social media this week after dubbing himself the “king of R&B” in a video uploaded to Instagram. Multiple artists stepped forward to dispute his claim, but it was John Legend – arguably the most rightful heir to the throne – who brought the debate to a classy conclusion with his response acknowledging everybody's inner royalty.

I still say that Beyoncé is the real R&B king, though.

SOCCER MOMMY HAS A NEW BABY

All I want for Christmas is a purple sparkly vintage Fender Stratocaster with a pearloid pickguard. Okay, well, something tells me that Santa Claus won't be delivering the goods for me this year, but I'm glad to see that Soccer Mommy made it onto his “nice” list.

Expect this ax to be kicking asses on a stage near you soon.

FRANKIE IS THE CUTEST

Me Saturday night vs Me Sunday morning. Hahaha. Jokes aside, the Taylor Swift-approved FRANKIE is serving total aesthetics here and I think that she looks adorable in both photos.

Can we also take a moment to appreciate that pinky action?!

HALSEY IS PLANNING FOR A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

Speaking as someone who can't see beyond the tip of their own nose without a pair of glasses, I low-key think about this all of the time. That, and what I'd do if my shortsighted ass got stranded on a desert island.

Thank you, Halsey, for helping me to feel less alone in these matters.

We stan a myopic queen.

BAUM IS A FEMINIST ICON

Closing out with one of my favorite discoveries of 2018, BAUM. Having dropped the feminist anthem of the year, “This Body,” the Los Angeles artist continues her quest to take back power from unrealistic beauty standards with this inspirational photo – the kind of which we, quite frankly, don't see enough of on social media.

If you retweet one thing today, make it this.
