Cool tracks from all the homies! Pegboard Nerds! No Mana! Griz! Stanton Warriors! Tony Quattro!
PEGBOARD NERDS - EMOJI VIP
Some fun funky electro dubstep from the Pegboard Nerds who pretty much don't have the word disappointing in their vocabulary. Can't tell if the song is actually an emotional journey or just the music video. I mean it's called "Emoji" and there's some weird pitch-shifted vocals saying something about emotions, so that's gotta be about emotions, right? The music video takes you on the journey from joyous to angry to sad to in love, or maybe it's all just a metaphor for your rave comedown.
NICOLAS HAELG - SO MUCH MORE (FEAT. BJORN MARIA)
It's smart for someone to bite Ten Walls' steez now that he's not allowed to make music anymore after his run in with homosexual slurs. Deep, wide, playa house with beautiful horns. Cut Bjorn Maria off this track and I think you've got a hit on your hands. Nah, I'm sure that's the selling point to a lot of people. I don't need a man to sing on my tracks. I don't need a woman to either. I guess what I'm saying is that let's stop pretending like we need vocals on tracks to be radio hits, because fuck the radio.
BITE ME - LUNAR
Big dumb fart sounding trapstep. Seriously, I know that a lot of people make jokes about how dubstep sounds like farts or Transformers or transformers farting, but this time it's serious. This is legitimately Transformers farts.
OSHI - PINK
When I listen to tracks like this I have to take my brain back to the time in my life where I liked trap and ask myself, would that version of myself have liked this then, yknow? I think my answer on this one is: yes. Strange, complex beats are a dime a dozen today but that's probably a good thing.
THE HIM (FEAT. SON MIEUX) - FEELS LIKE HOME
Yeah I don't like this at all. I hope you do. I really do. I hope I'm wrong. That high pitched sound on the drop is one of the most annoying sounds I've ever heard. Nails on a chalkboard. Maybe it's just me though and that sound is my cilantro.
NO MANA - BANHAMMER
Wow. This is everything I love about Deadmau5 and none of the bullshit. Beautiful, silly, playful progressive house that builds and is utterly patient, but when the bass kicks in, it kicks in so hard. Cool, internet Imagery too No Mana. It's like the second coming of the Mau5 I like (strobe, pets1&2) minus the personality and ego. I am glad Joel saw what I saw though and signed this shit faster than you can say "douchebag."
ANIELLO - DO YOUR THING
Cool future garage house from a new dude on the future house scene, Aniello. This isn't a song I'd write home about (just blog) or anything, unless of course I found myself at Oliver Heldens summer camp and Oliver Heldens was my parents and he told me to write him if there was a song I heard that would fit well in his sets.
GRAVES & MYRNE - TIGER BLOOD
This shit is so future! It's got that cool bass and all the weird sounds and cool subtle vocals and really rad drums. graves & MYRNE got something goin on, I'll tell you whut. The bleeps and "hey" peppered throughout this track make me really happy.
GRIZ - A FINE WAY TO DIE (GRIZ REMIX)
Griz remixing himself turning his Fine Way to Die track into a whole new funkstarter. This shit is properly fresh, hardly anything like the original save for that funky underlying bassline and the Orlando Napier vocals. This sax playing phenom is just untouchable right now. Wow, oh boy.
STANTON WARRIORS & TONY QUATTRO - KEEP IT MOVIN (FEAT. RELL ROCK)
I've got mad love for both Stanton Warriors and Tony Quattro. They're two of my favorites who are constantly inventing new shit and sounds and genres. I never even considered a collaboration between these two but I'm suuuuper grateful that it exists. Tony Quattro's weird bounce shit and Stanton Warriors garage breaks. This is a match made in party heaven. On repeat.
BEST DROPS EVER - A DROP SO CRAZY YOU'LL KILL YOUR FAMILY
Best Drops Ever with the smartest soundcloud advertisement commentary ever? Is this the South Park of dance music?
KEEP IT COOL OR NOT, I DON'T CARE.

About Kurt Kroeber
From deep within the murky depths of the Los Angeles River emerged a creature: 50% raver, 50% comedian, 10% Robotcop. Kurt Kroeber doesn’t own a dog, operates Soundbleed (the world’s only dance party comedy talk show rave), and is down to party with you. Come up some time and say “Hey dude!” But definitely make sure to casually drop the secret Illuminati password.
