BEST MUSIC VIDEOS - WEEK 35

9/2/17

Alas, the long weekend is here. Whether you’re going through a rough time and just want to lay around in bed the whole time watching Netflix or you’re ready to spend your nights out dancing ‘till dawn, we have a song for it all. No judgement here. Take a listen and find your weekend vibe.

PRINCE - BABY I'M A STAR (LIVE)

There’s no better way to get amped for the week than having Prince remind you to treat yourself like “A Star.” Get it? Pun intended. His lively energy on stage from this killer 1984 performance is nothing short of infectious.

GRIZZLY BEAR - MOURNING SOUND

Okay can we just talk about the outfits, decor, and overall aesthetic for a second? Grizzly Bear is definitely making me rethink my wardrobe and living situation in this unique video for “Mourning Sound.”

SYML - FEAR OF THE WATER

You’d have to be a robot not to feel something over this video. The lighting, scenery, dancing, and of course the music are magical. A song this beautiful paired with an equally beautiful video is definitely a double win.

MUSE - DIG DOWN

I’m not sure if I’ve been taken back in time, entered the future, or have been transported to an alternative universe, but I like it. This video is mad trippy. Just see for yourself.

KWAYE - SWEETEST LIFE

These dance moves are everything right now. The song alone already makes me wish I was sipping a margarita while dancing on a rooftop right now, but after watching the music video for “Sweetest Life,” I’m convinced I need to make that happen.

FLINT EASTWOOD - REWIND FT. GRIZ

There are so many cool things to unpack in this video, and I think we can all relate. It’s hard to disagree that there’s something wonderful about the innocence that comes along with childhood. How would you do things differently if you could?

TOKIMONSTA - WE LOVE (FEAT. MNDR)

Can I be friends with TOKiMONSTA? Please? This video is ridiculously fun. Not only that, but I’ve learned we own the same bathing suit, which I’ve got to admit, made me fangirl a bit.

COSMO'S MIDNIGHT - MIND OFF

As Cosmo’s Midnight are adventuring and exploring in this sick music video for “Mind Off,” I got to say, it definitely caught me off guard a couple minutes in. The storytelling in this video had me intrigued the whole time.

BUS VIPERS - FLUID

With everything from running streams, oozing red liquid dye, and luscious waves, Bus Vipers are definitely living up to the title of this glossy electro-pop song.

BUDDY MERCURY SINGS!

youtubeObviously, I saved the best for last. We all know who the real legend is here.
