Best New EDM Dance

All signs point to the soundtrack being the best thing to come out of the ensemble-train-wreck known as Suicide Squad. And the best thing to come out of the soundtrack is the Skrillex and Rick Ross collab, “Purple Lamborghini.” The video also lives up to the absurdly high expectations the OWSLA crew has set for themselves.
New-look Crystal Castles are back with another new single, and CHAR is the best thing we’ve heard thus far off their upcoming LP, Amnesty (I). Once again this tune features vocals from the newest member of the CC family, Edith Frances, although these are more hushed and subdued compared to the aggression on display in Concrete.
Black Super Moth Rainbow member TOBACCO is prepping for the release of his fourth solo LP, Sweatbox Dynasty. Human Om is a great song and a super trippy video that you’ll find yourself watching over and over. The heavily distorted vocals give the track the atmospheric feel of a bombed-out wasteland.
Ethan Kath has carried on under the Crystal Castles moniker, adding new lead singer Edith Frances. The duo has released a single and video for Concrete. Concrete is loud, chaotic, and dare I say clubby. It’s high-energy and frantic in the best possible way. The video features Frances walking backwards through the audience at a crowded rave. It makes for oddly compelling viewing.
Much like DENM's debut single Lit, Under Pressure mines the depths of alt R&B by mixing together a dozen or so contemporary genres into a single, inalienable jam. Woozy and gloomy, the melancholy dance number feels like the perfect soundtrack for disillusioned youth.
At its best, art has the ability to change your perspective and redefine how you see the world. Or it can help you empathize with others by showing their perspective. Kalacoma’s latest video, Kaleidoscoper, achieves this by allowing the viewer to experience what a seizure looks and feels like.
We don’t normally write about EDM songs here at The Guard, but when we do, they’re absolute bangers. Need You by Dillon Francis & NGHTMRE meets all of the requirements and then some for EDM Songs We Write About. Adding the typically great Mad Decent music video to the mix certainly didn’t hurt matters either.
What’s up, players? Feeling like an A+ kinda week. Me and my ravefam, my festie squad are leveling up this week. We’re throwing our own festival out in the desert. Just good people, sick vibes and awesome music for three whole days. These hot trizzacks from DFrance, AxIn, Xi-Alai and Brasstrizzacks should get you pizzumped. Gotta love it.

You ever stumble across something magical on the internet and wonder with a mixture of shock and embarrassment how you hadn’t seen it earlier? That’s totally us with Acid Rain, the truly remarkable video from EDM producer Lorn. We saw it, instantly fell in love, and had to share it.

This week's best electro house includes some Awesome New Awesomeness from Getter and MSTRKRFT and Rusko and Boys Noize. What, is festival season coming up or something?
