BEST NEW POP: ELOHIM FEAT. YOSHI FLOWER - PANIC ATTACKS
To my We Are: The Guard clan -- I know I constantly make you laugh, but just because I’m funny as hell doesn’t mean I don’t have those days where I aimlessly stare at my walls and think about the break-up I haven’t quite gotten over.
And then there are those gloomy days where the sadness burrows much deeper than what a breakup can cause. Call it anxiety, or depression -- call it a REALLY bad f*cking day, but sometimes you just need to crawl into bed with a good song.
In that case, and if you, like me, are feeling the effects of recent rainy days, I’d like you to meet Elohim.
A rising new-comer from good ol’ Los Angeles, Elohim has been making a name for herself with the mystical, sensual and alluring pop music that she’s created in her career thus far. Her first EP revolved around her anxiety -- and now, with her full-length debut EP coming in a month, it seems like her story-telling will still run personal.
Listen to “Panic Attacks,” featuring Yoshi Flower down below.
ELOHIM - PANIC ATTACKS (FEAT. YOSHI FLOWER)
Running just under three minutes, “Panic Attacks” is a definitive short and sweet tune. Both singers carry a reverent and honest tone to their words. Ever missed someone so much it hurt? Ever feel that daggering heartache deep in your stomach when you think about someone you’ve lost? Then this song is for you. It’s okay. You can cry a little.
Elohim’s debut LP is out in April, and she’s set for some tour dates in anticipation for it. In the meantime, check her Soundcloud for her past earworms.
