BEST NEW SONG: LOUIS THE CHILD - LOVE IS ALIVE (FEAT. ELOHIM)
Chicago-based duo LOUIS THE CHILD described their sound as “music that makes you happy,” and that is definitely the case with their latest track, "Love is Alive," which is stirring up a ton of well-deserved buzz.
The duo has teamed up with one of our favorite new producers, Elohim, to create a dreamy and blissful indie pop track called “Love is Alive.” The track starts out with bubbling synths, a drum machine beat, and Elohim’s light and airy vocals that will have you trapped in a blissed out trance for the short but very sweet 2:50 duration.

Once you hit the 0:21 mark and hear Elohim’s first chill-inducing and echoey “oooooh yeah,” you’ll be completely at ease when the track’s smooth, slow-grooving melodic chorus kicks in just after the 0:30 mark. Hypnotic groovy bass, a smooth and steady beat, and Elohim’s haunting vocals repeating “I just wanna go where love is alive, love is alive, love is alive” will have you bobbing along in no time. From there on out, the track continues to be blissfully calming until things switch up a bit towards the track’s ending with slightly distorted bass and subtle electronic elements that allow it all to end with a sense of urgency.
We’re totally obsessed with this track and I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure this will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day and I don’t really mind.
