BEST NEW VIDEOS: KILL THE NOISE - KILL IT 3 THE KIDS FT. AWOLNATION & R. CITY
EDM isn’t exactly the genre you look to for social commentary, but with the theater surrounding the selection of our next President growing to historic new levels of bullsh*t, I suppose the politically-charged video for the Kill The Noise's banger, "Kill It 4 The Kids," isn’t that big of a surprise.
The song, off Occult Classic, Jake Stanczak’s debut album under his new moniker, features the vocal stylings of AWOLNATION and R. City. The claymation video which accompanies it was directed, written, and produced by Belgian director Chris Ullens. It features the subtly-named Tonald Dump as the antagonist who falls prey to “his own design of corporate greed, control and mass consumerism.” The video is fantastic and funny and more or less a condensed version of the South Park Walmart episode. Around the Holidays I will eat up any anti-materialism messages, and this one is a true gem.
