Tobacco - Human Om

Black Super Moth Rainbow member TOBACCO is prepping for the release of his fourth solo LP, Sweatbox Dynasty. He’s called this record “my baby,” which I guess makes the new track and video “Human Om” like a sonogram or some sh*t. I don’t know man, but it’s a great song and a super trippy video that you’ll find yourself watching over and over.

“Human Om” continues with the melting synth pop psychedlic vibes of previous single “Gods in Heat,” as well as TOBACCO’s last record, Ultima II Massage. The heavily distorted vocals give the track the atmospheric feel of a bombed-out wasteland. The video further capitalizes on this aesthetic with animations that are equal parts creepy and inciting. It’s hard to explain, but you’ll understand what I mean when you’re watching it (probably). TOBACCO did all the animation himself, and the video is reminiscent of watching Robot Chicken on hallucinogens. Or at least what I imagined that be like. I don’t really watch much TV…
