Best of PopKiller - Week 43 2012

Welcome to LA Music Blog BitCandy's Best of PopKiller! In pop news this week, Adele gave birth to a baby boy! Fear not, BitCandy WILL bring you his collab with Blue Ivy as SOON as it drops.

Just kidding!

Head on down for the hottest cuts, mashes and mixes of the past week, poptarts! We guarantee Ryan Seacrest won't spin this on KIIS FM. So throw your radio out of the fucking window, already! Oh, just watch out for any grandmas walking past first...

Seven Lions and Rihanna “She Was Diamonds (Compson Sound Bootleg)”

One of our fav knob-twiddlers, Compson Sound, has just dropped this DOPE mash, which blends Seven Lions' "She Was” and RiRi's "Diamonds” with some banging dub drops!

A-Trak & Zinc “Like The Dancefloor (Original)”

A-Trak & Zinc's “Stingray” has been given an electro-reggaeton makeover starring Jamaican dancehall dynamo, Natalie Smith. Check out the asstastic (yes, we did just say “asstastic”) video, here!

e-dubble - Down (Official Video)

Not that there are many "unofficial" videos floating around...or are there?  But e-dubble is the essence of what we call "PopKiller" intelligent pop for none other than us!  Not your little sister or nephew.  Leave Top 40 to them.

Churchill - Change

Not necessarily new but it's new as far as U.S. radio finally paying attention.   Great song and fun video.

Closer - Tegan and Sara - Official Lyric Video

Forget about Hulk Hogan.  Who wouldn't want to see THIS sex tape?   In the meantime the lyric video will have to appease you.  (one of the better lyric videos out there I must say).

Gemini “3D Romeo (Feat. Fabienne)”

A new slice from Thomas Slinger, better know to you as Gemini! “3D Romeo” is lifted from the forthcoming Mercury EP. Fabienne's vocals fused with glitch synths = BLISS!

Lil Twist feat. Lil Wayne & Chris Brown “Flowerz (Prod. Diplo & DJA)”

Here is our first taste of 19-year-old Lil Twist's debut album, Don't Get It Twisted! "Flowerz" guest-stars Weezy, aka Lil Wayne, and Breezy, aka Chris “Douchebag” Brown (just cause we are featuring Brown, don't think we have forgiven him, yo). We dig the track's dripping production, which is courtesy of Mr. Mad Decent himself, Diplo (oh, and uh, DJA).

David Bowie “Let's Dance”

What better way to wrap up this week's Best of PopKiller than with an absolute CLASSIC! David Bowie's “Let's Dance” - which was a #1 smash either side of the Atlantic in 1983 - is the DEFINITIVE pop song, surely, SURELY?! We miss you, Dave! Iman must give you back!
