BEST TRACKS: BIG DEAL "BABY'S WEARING BLUE JEANS"

11/27/13

Big Deal's record, June Gloom, has been one of the most criminally overlooked albums of 2013. The duo isn't done making cool songs just yet this year, as their-just-released cover of Mac DeMarco's "Baby's Wearing Blue Jeans" shows.

Alice Costelloe and Kacey Underwood just released a new single, "Swapping Spit," off June Gloom. This is where  their bitchin' cover of Demarco's "Baby's Wearing Blue Jeans" appears as a b-side. They don't mess with the original's formula too much. Big Deal adds their brand of morose harmonies and 90's noise pop to the mix, but other than that its a pretty straight forward cover. Which is just fine, since it, like the original, kicks a good deal of ass. Hear both for yourself below:
