Denny White may want a moment “Alone With You,” but he seems likely to find a much, much larger audience.

It is our great pleasure and pride to premiere the Los Angeles-based singer’s newest song, you guessed it, “Alone With You” here at We Are: The Guard.

With flawless, soulful vocals, Denny White is fast making a name for himself in this hectic world. The emerging electro pop artist has already collaborated with heavyweights like Fedde Le Grand and Tiesto. His previous single, “Carried Away”, reached well over a million plays in less than a month and charted on Spotify’s Viral 50. On top of that, he has also collaborated with members of One Republic and written songs for The Fray. And if that’s not enough, dude has toured and shared the stage with the likes Young the Giant and Dawes. A pretty tidy start to his career.

But “Alone With You” has the makings of an absolute smash hit and could see this rising star shoot off into the stratosphere.

The track begins with some ambient background vocals before White’s pristine voice breaks through, backed only by sparse drums. The track slowly begins to builds as White shows off his deft vocal range on the way to an instantly infectious chorus. The song rises and falls, all the while you stay locked into White’s voices and his pleas for just a few brief intimate moments with his love. We’ve all been there.

And like the man signing it, this song seems like it has tremendous range. It would work equally as well as the centerpiece for a romantic montage in a film, or as the couple’s skate song at your local roller rink. As a betting man, I’d wager you’ll be hearing this song in both the above and countless other scenarios. This track could well be a pandemic. The good kind though...

I can’t stop listening to this song. It feels like an evolution of the best aspects of pop music from the earlier part of this decade. Call it The Script 2.0. Or Two Republic (sorry). Someone get Mr. White and Timbaland in the same room, STAT.

If you need me, I will be playing Denny White on loop for the rest of the weekend and patiently awaiting his next release. You’re more than welcome to join me.

Calvin Paradise is not any one thing. The half-hearted vagabond and forgetful luddite currently resides in Los Angeles and how he spends his time is none of your damned business.
