DUFFSTER'S 8 EMERGING CANDY PICKS: WEEK 16

4/19/14

While you were counting your way through how many surprise appearances surfaced at Coachella, and/or losing your shit with the release of Del Rey's latest single, we were making sure to keep your emerging feed updated by filtering the next wave of vibration. Okay I was also going pretty ape at the release of new material from 'Wolf Gang', too!

It's all about the debuts this week, including FORDE, Jude, ECHOS and DeLooze.

FORDE - YDLTF**K  (NSFW)

UK newcomer FORDE is unlikely to be a name you've heard of yet. We believe the London producer could cause a stir with her steamy visual. Boobage aside, the debut track YDLTF**K is a ballsy experimental intro to Ema Wakeford's sound. With only a handful of plays, she's also wrapping the definition of... under-the-radar.

FRENSHIP - ANYA

Frenship followed-up their excellent debut, "Kids," with another infectious banger. Temperatures are rising and the unsigned L.A duo's new indie-pop track, "Anya," is heading straight onto the summer playlist.

JUDE - CRYSTALS

Lorde's effortless vibe is a fair enough comparison when hearing this debut released by Flordia duo, Jude. That said, "Crystals" is an extremely elegant and polished first offering from the [insert mysterious] indie-pop pair. They have our attention - more importantly, do they have yours?

SILENT NOISE PARADE - FEARS

We've mentioned a few Electro acts emerging from Ireland since the turn of the year, with the likes of Tvvins and Rocstrong to the recent feature, Le Galaxie. Five piece Silent Noise Parade provide the latest Irish ear-candy. Warm synths are tinged with their rock roots through vocalist Gary Sherlock.

DELOOZE - DEATHSTAR

DeLooze is the latest artist to be featured via Bitcandy's residence over at Fluence. Delooze's dark edgy style that reminded us of Bats For Lashes had already caught our ear through Portugal. The Man when he recently dropped a remix of this track, "Dethsatar." We now have an eerie atmospheric forest visual for "Deathstar" too, ahead of Stacey DeLooze's album launch this week for her pledge funded debut album, Glass Army. There are still a few pledge packs left to snap up, like we have.

OUR MAN IN BERLIN - AIRHEAD

Is there a better time than the present to be an Australian making music? The quality emerging down under is crazy good and we have another exciting Perth band to shout about. The five piece electronic outfit, Our Man In Berlin, drop their 6 track debut EP, it's all right, next month and we're diggin' the lead single "Airhead" in particular.  Two further tracks from the EP are available on their cloud that bolster this group's diversity.

MOLLY BEANLAND - REAL LIFE (JULY CHILD REMIX)

The blogosphere is saturated with remixes (mostly the same track(s) mixed to death!). Occasionally, though, we get something way too great to ignore, and such is the case here. A personal favourite of mine, July Child, have only gone and mixed uhm... another fav of ours, Molly Beanland! The London based pair (Amber & Kiks) have a knack for selecting the right music to mix and we can't get get enough of this throwback. Check out their original tracks that are pretty fukin' ace too.

ECHOS - GHOSTS

A fine debut this from Portland's ECHOS. The indie electronic duo landed a premiere over at Earmilk with "Ghosts," accompanied with this video. Apparently they have more music ripe for dropping, and we think you'll agree that if this vocal and booming bass is what we can expect more of, we're in for a fuckin' treat!

See ya next week. Keep it Bitcandy!
