BEST NEW TRACK: FLUME & CHET FAKER "DROP THE GAME"

11/19/13
Aussie DJ/Producer Flume continues his ascension into the blogging consciousness. First there was his stunning self-titled debut, the transformative remix of Disclosure, and now this cool song "Drop The Game" off his EP with fellow land-down-under-er Chet Faker.

Flume and Chet Faker have teamed up before (see Flume's aforementioned self-titled debut), and now the two have collaborated for the three song EP Lockjaw. "Drop The Game" is the first we've heard off the extended play, and there's a lot to like here. The track has a R & B, James Blake-feel to it. As usual Flume differinates himself from the crowd with his leftfield electronica work, always keeping the listeners on their toes. Chet Fakers' vocals are as pristine and gorgeous as they were since we last heard from him on "Left Alone"

While it's not quite the jaw-dropping Disclosure remix we covered in June {http://www.bitcandy.com/plogs/plogDedicated/music/best-new-tracks-disclo...}, but "Drop The Game" is still pretty great.

Lockjaw EP is out November 26th via Future Classics. At least in the 26th here in the States. Aussies and Kiwis get the first fast on the 22nd, and the socialists in the Uk and Europe can get their hands on its the 25th. You can preorder it over on iTunes {http://smarturl.it/LockjawEP}
