Best New Tracks: James Blake Feat. Chance The Rapper "Life Round Here"

James Blake's sophomore LP, Overgrown, is certain to be on everyone's "Best of 2013" lists and it will probably even top a few. Now Blake is showing that there's more to Overgrown than what we've already heard, releasing a best new tracks with Chance The Rapper hopping aboard "Life Round Here" to give it that new track smell.

Chance's presence is really just a face lift to "Life Round Here," as the track remains largely unscathed otherwise. Blake's piano and soothing falsetto stabilize things while Chance, with his manic energy, adds layers to one of Overgrown's standouts. This new edit also reminds anyone who forgot just how good Blake's second studio effort is. Whether you were on the original, or just checking it out for the first time, James Blake Feat. Chance The Rapper "Life Round Here" is sure to win you over.

Here's the original cut of "Life Round Here." You can tell just how much Chance adds to the song, not that this version feels like it's lacking anything. Chance is really just an accessory to an already really good song. But man is he one hell of an accessory.

Overgrown is out now via Polydor Ltd. To keep up on all the comings and goings of Chancelor Bennett, check out his official site.
