Best Tracks: Flight Facilities "Clair De Lune"

2/25/13

People often say that the French are smelly, sweaty, vulgar, etc., but they never say that they are boring. This is especially true of their music and this latest new song from the (you guessed it) French band, Flight Facilities.

"Clair De Lune (featuring Christine Hoberg)" is a sprawling, ambient affair, but it never stutters or drags the way others in this genre (like the bulk of The xx's songs) can. There's an underlying pulse to the song that keeps things moving and interesting. There's always a sense of action despite the understated tones of the track.
