CAUTIOUS CLAY - REASONS
Crooner Cautious Clay makes you want to dive straight into a pool of warm water. His layered textured single “Reasons” brings a friendly melody that creates a chill and intimate listening experience ideal for those moments when life seems a bit too much.
DENM - THE CHRISTMAS SONG
*GASP* I know shocking that I go savage on the holiday spirit in my intro and then here I am putting “The Christmas Song” as a top pick this week. Don’t go too crazy on my now. I promise that this version of the classic Christmas carol is way, way, different. Garage pop artist DENM completely changes things up by removing the dullness, cleansing it with his chill signature style, and adding some polish.
PHOEBE BRIDGERS - FRIDAY I’M IN LOVE
I love me some Phoebe Bridgers, but what I love more is The Cure. Robert was my first crush … I was destined to be Mrs. Roberts, but that didn’t pan out so well, I’ve been forever banned from future The Cure shows. Anyways, indie songstress/kicka$$ Phoebe Bridgers nails it with her cover of “Friday I’m In Love.” Sure, it’s nothing like the original, but that’s why it’s a cover … a gorgeous one to be exact.
CAPPA - ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU
Don’t hate on me! I promise your ears will not shrivel up at the play of “All I Want For Christmas.” Cappa sets out to prove that overplayed tracks that should have been thrown out a looong time ago deserve a second chance. This version of #AIWFC throws your expectations out the window. It’s fun, it’s playful, it’s creepy, and the video makes the jingle even juicier. You can watch the Death Cat directed video here.
GABRIEL BLACK- GOODBYE
To remove the blah-blah of life exfoliate your mind, body, and soul with “Goodbye” by rising artists Gabriel Black. His voice is gentle and strips you from outside noise leaving you feeling less vulnerable than how you felt prior to listening to the song. This is a must addition to your life and playlist.
Awww, our playlist is over! Just kidding, who do you think we are? Of course we have more songs for you. Hit play below and enjoy the gems.
Beca Arredondo is easily unamused with all things not related to her interests. On her good days you can catch her avoiding the California sun and glued to her Mac plotting the next big thing. If you happen to run into her on the street and notice her wearing headphones do NOT disturb her. She is not responsible for any possible damage. Aside from the above she's very sweet and perky and responds well to good music and food.
