Today's Candy: Devo - Peek-A-Boo

This week, we can't stop spinning “Peek-A-Boo,” an amazeballs (but overlooked) deep cut from Devo's 1982 album, Oh, No! It's Devo!

This album marked Devo's transition from guitar-based new wave to full-fledged synth pop and such sonic expansion is audible in this glitchy ditty.

Check out the track's official video below. It's fucking crazy, but what else did you expect!?

And here is the band performing the track live at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada (whose insane idea was it to book Devo for the Olympics?). Dear God, please let me be as as cool as Mark Mothersbaugh when I reach my 60s. Amen!

I can see you
And I know what you do
So put your hands on your face
And cover up your eyes
Don't look until I signal
Peek-a-boo! peek-a-boo! peek-a-boo!
The way that we weren't is what we'll become
So please pay attention while I show you some
Of what's about to happen
I know what you do
Cause I do it too
Laugh if you want to or say you don't care
If you cannot see it you think it's not there
It doesn't work that way
