The Smashing Pumpkins - Landslide

The Smashing Pumpkins released a cover of Fleetwood Mac's “Landslide” in 1994 (in other words, fucking years before Dixie Chicks got their mitts on it).

This divine acoustic cover was the B-side to “Disarm,” which was lifted from Pumpkins' 1993 masterpiece, Siamese Dream.

Ah... how we long for those halcyon days when Billy Corgan had hair/didn't date Jessica Simpson/etc... but we digress.

FYI, Stevie Nicks really, really dug this cover:

“'Landslide' also led me to being friends with Billy Corgan. Over this song, there's been this incredible connection, he reached out, I believe that my poetry is really meant for everyone, no matter what age."

Now wrap your own ears around it below! It's beautiful <3.

And of course, how can we leave you without the original, as lifted from Fleetwood Mac's 1975 eponymous album.

Oh, and it is frankly illegal to end an article on The Smashing Pumpkins without posting the following Simpsons clip.
