ANGEL HAZE - (NO ONE KNOWS ME) LIKE THE PIANO (COVER)
There is no doubt Angel Haze puts a lot of herself into her music, down to the lyrics pulled from her early life that was anything but typical. Definitely, there’s a lot of gritty material in there. As a singer and a rapper, Haze has the repertoire to handle both admirably, but like a double-edge sword her raps often doesn’t have the lasting power, especially when compared to the times when she muses through her vocals. Thankfully, "No One Knows Me Like" is one of those correctly composed songs. Besides, I am sure I’m not the only one who enjoys it when she sings rather than raps.
Composed of simple strokes of piano and an unstressed vocal delivery, Haze, once again, proves to the world the many levels of her creativity and musical prowess. Honestly, she is like a musical chameleon, able to fit into many genres without one knowing the wiser. Like I said, she can get it done as a rapper, but her vocals really draw out the emotion in her aural stories. This song molds together everything that is great about Haze, by grasping at her complicated history and pansexual orientation, it delivers a track that is no-nonsense and downright pleasurable to listen to.
