What Peaches Did Next: Opera

In 2010, when she wasn't busy shitting on the Black Eyed Peas, Peaches forayed into Broadway (well, Berlin's HAU 1 Theatre), to transform Andrew Lloyd Webber's “Jesus Christ Superstar” into a one-woman musical somewhat-sacrilegiously-titled "Peaches Christ Superstar."

Later that year, the baddest bitch in electronica unleashed upon Berlin yet another production, "Peaches Does Herself," a mad hatter quasi-musical that was adorned with plastic vaginas and special effect penises.

So what's next for the teaches of Peaches?

Well how about opera?

Yup, you read that right. Fucking opera!

In May, Peaches will be teaming up with six opera singers to present Monteverdi's epic, "L'Orfeo,” which "tells the story of the hero and singer Orfeo, or Orpheus, who triumphed over the underworld and enchanted people, gods and wild animals with his singing, was one of the first modern operas ever written."

The premier will take place at HAU 1 on the 1st of May 2012, followed by four additional performances on the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th. Oh, and Peaches? She will be taking on the opera's lead male role, Orpheus, and performing the entire thing in Italian.

The usual.
