BEST NEW TRACKS: MONARCHY "LIVING WITHOUT YOU"

Now that they're done cavorting with Dita Von Teese, London duo Monarchy can get back to doing what they do best, that is making best new tracks like the electronic power ballad, "Living Without You."

Consisting of Andrew Armstrong and Ra Black, Monarchy has recently signed to the progressive powerhouse label Ultra Records. The New York City based label seems to be expanding their horizons here, and they'd be hard pressed to pick a more listenable sound. "Living Without You" is of the "I Will Survive" vein, at least lyrically. Sonically the song pulses with energy and is sewn together with several gigantic electro-pop hooks. Ultra Records was wise to step outside of their comfort zone in order to nab a band this talented.
