BEST NEW TRACK: ACTIVE CHILD - TAKES ME BACK

12/6/13

Active Child described this track as “not exactly original music, but something to listen to none the less.” We call humble pie on that nonsense statement, and if you’re looking for more COOL SONGS by artists who don’t enjoy splitting on their fans and calling themself God, then click on that link up there, homies. Yeah, that wasn’t a suggestion. DO IT! DO IT NOW!

When Pat Grossi AKA Active Child came across these instrumentals from Tupac’s post-mortem track, “Until The End Of Time,” he was all like, “I could totally make an awesome song out of this,” and even though I made that up, I think it’s a pretty dope track. It’s so old school, you could give it detention for smoking in the bathrooms. And then take it out for a banana split with a side of footsie under the table.

But for realsies, this track was inspired by high school nostalgia and modest beginnings, so apparently that’s a pretty good recipe for music. So is sex and drugs, but in a totally unrelated way! He even laid down some cool vocals, as if the track wasn’t hauntingly creepy already.

Listening to this track makes me feel like I’m in a really surreal 90s music video, where I’m like the main character and there’s all this city life stuff going on, and I’m reflecting on it and stuff. Is that just me? OK then!

If you like this, then you’d probably want to know that Active Child has a new EP out. You’re welcome!

TUPAC – “UNTIL THE END OF TIME”

MR. MISTER – “BROKEN WINGS” LIVE AT THE RITZ

The final verdict: I like Tupac a lot more than I like Mr. Mister. Now spill your soul in the comment section.
