Best of Indie Pop - (8 Favs) Week 24 2013
I was shocked, looks like I lost all my lunch money betting on the Kimye baby due date. The only safe bet is to invest your earnings on BitCandy’s Best of Alternative and Indie Pop cuz we always deliver on time. And let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy, but we do the impossible (no need for the dirty details) to serve your ears the best of what we consider shameless pop. Yes, this is a place where you can let your inner diva/div(o) loose because no one can resist buttery remixes and summer lovin beats. And hey, if the following tracks don't do it for ya, enlighten me and tell me in the comment section below what songs we should include for next week. Cue the music.
San Cisco - Get Lucky (Daft Punk Cover)
If your ears have yet to bleed out from all the Daft Punk remixes, I applaud you and suggest to put San Cisco’s remix as one of your must listens for the week. Australian hipsters are so freakin' cool. Who knew bongos would sound as fresh as their songs from their debut album, San Cisco.
Martin Solveig & The Cataracs Feat. Kyle - Hey Now (Official Music Video) - (Beca)
Hey now, don’t judge, this is my guilty little pleasure and it should be yours as well. Martin Solveig, The Cataracs, Kyle , and the American Apparel models will have you craving summer fun. Does anyone else think this would be great for like a Sunny-D commercial?
Mac Miller - O.K. feat. Tyler, The Creator
Ear muffs kids. Mac Miller has stepped up his game since his Easy Mac days. Looks like boywonder Tyler, The Creator is the mastermind behind this bootay grinding single. Mac Miller’s sophomore album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, is out now and from what I know it’s a bit depressing.

Kelly Rowland - Freak
Sounding like a freaky vixen, Kelly Rowland tries to maintain her sagging career by pulling a Madonna/J.Lo. You know, where the middle aged sing about sex, and sex, and how good their asterisks looks on the dance floor. Catchy song though and the best track from her fourth studio album, Talk a Good Game.
THUMPERS - Unkinder (A Tougher Love) - (Duffster)
Our curator Duffster is responsible for finding this piece of synth pop heaven. The duo from London has a reputation for creating infectious feel good vibes. If for whatever reason you feel a bit down on your luck, just put this tune on repeat.
Dan Black - Hearts feat. Kelis
I knew Kelis’ milkshakes contained magical powers, cuz they brought Dan Black back from the dead. Well, he never really died, but he went M.I.A. for a long time. Let’s hope Dan sticks around a bit longer this time.
Banks - In Your Eyes (Peter Gabriel Cover)
Banks released her version of ‘In Your Eyes’ as a tribute to her daddy. One listen to this cover and you'll understand why she’s on everyone’s tongue right now. She’s got great looks, an incomparable sound, and possibly is the world’s best daughter; she’s perfect.
ScHoolboy Q - Collard Greens feat. Kendrick Lamar
Oh boy, I can see a whole bunch of latin hotties going crazy over Kendrick Lamar’s Spanish foul mouth. But this is about Schoolboy Q, let’s just say we’ll be hearing more of him once he drops his album, Oxymoron.
