JEREMY ZUCKER - TALK IS OVERRATED

youtubeFinally signing with major label, Republic Records, Jeremy Zucker has been working hard for his pending big-time debut. Drawing attention from one of his major influences, Blackbear, might have been a Godsend for the Jersey-native. Barely hitting the age of 21, Zucker already developed quite a solid discography. Next month, he journeys to Los Angeles to perform at one of the top small-room venues in the city, the Mint. Along the way, he released his single called "Talk Is Overrated."

Not quite pop nor typical R&B, Zucker conjures up modern soul that is lofty and unintimidating. Perhaps, the right word is accessible. The song is heavy on guitar with the slightest hint of percussions. After three minutes, I am reminded of the era of slow-jams during my youth. Even the rap interlude by Blackbear brings me back to the late 90’s. Those were great times, and this song captured a small piece of the past.
