Hey, party people!
I have here this week’s Best of Instagram: Weekend edition, but it really should be dubbed “Coachella Edition,” or “Ultimate FOMO Edition,” because you and I know that we are suffering from the most severe FOMO known to man. I have been watching Instagram stories with tears in my eyes, y’all. Why wasn’t I there to watch Beyonce’s Coachella performance?? Why couldn’t I see Pregnant Cardi B twerking unabashedly in person?? Not fair!
Maybe I’ll bust a mission and hitchhike a ride to Indio for Weekend 2. Until then, I’ll continue suffering in silence by watching these Instagram weekend highlights...
The Weeknd @ Coachella The After Party
Don’t let those Friday night tears fool you. Sure, The Weeknd’s emotional performance of “Call Out My Name” may be proof that he’s still hurting from his brutal break-up with Selena Gomez, but it’s nothing that a Coachella afterparty with Nicki Minaj and Shania Twain won’t fix.
Nicki Minaj + The Kartrashians + Migos + Travis Scott + Chance The Rapper
Nicki Minaj certainly made her way through the exclusive afterparties, it seems. The best part about this video is that she’s just like us! She’s just like your friend on Saturday night at the club, trying to squeeze you into her snap’s frame -- except Nicki’s friends, are, ya know, Chance the Rapper, Kylie Jenner, and Quavo. NBD.
Cardi B + Preggo Fun
Cardi B is living, and having the best year ever. She put out one of the hottest releases this year, just had a successful Coachella debut performance, is getting married AND having a kid?? So of course a baby bump isn’t going to stop her from dancing to her success. C’mon now. Outfit is fire, by the way.
Britney Spears + Boo = Relationship Goals
All I want in life is to have a man whisk me away in his arms, so this is just a testament that Britney Spears will always have a better life than me and that she is my life goals (aside from that sunburn…).
Jamie Foxx + Kygo Collab???
Another great part about Coachella are the candids of people you would never even think would EVER hang out to party (do I need to point to Shania Twain up there again?). Case in point: Jamie Foxx and Kygo. This photo is just two Super Cool Dudes Hanging Out and I love it. Did someone introduce them to each other? Did Jamie Foxx approach HIM? Will there be a collab or just another bromantic photo of them in the future? I dare to dream, folks.
DESTINY’S CHILD REUNION @ COACHELLA
Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce. This is all we will be talking about for the next weeks to come. For two hours we were all in her world, immersed in iconic Black imagery and taken back by the sheer pro-feminist power on stage. The Destiny’s Child Reunion, honestly, was just the cherry on top.
SAINT JHN + and all his shirtlessness
Saint JHN has made it to Coachella! But it thankfully hasn’t gotten to his head -- glad to see him have a sense of humor about the world’s arguably influential music festival.
JACK WHITE ON ST VINCENT’S GUITAR
I am a huge fan of St. Vincent and I’m always reduced to tears when I’m confronted by her magical powers. So it’s nice to see a goddess also have her fangirl moments, and to see guitarists supporting other guitarists!
