BEST OF INSTAGRAM - WEEKEND EDITION
Happy Weekend 2, peeps! The Coachella buzz train has not stopped chugging along its tracks, but given that there were no livestreams, I’m just assuming you cured your FOMO with weekend brunch and stayed in the dark. Not to fret, young ones. I got the scoops for ya. Unlike you party monsters, I stayed in bed all weekend just for you — no, there was no underlying reason! I care about y’all. Here’s everything you missed:
JHUD + BEYONCÉ
Do you still pop in your Dreamgirls DVD when you need a pick-me-up? Do you still even HAVE a DVD player? Jennifer Hudson and Beyoncé reunited at Coachella, proving that Bey really did invite the whole damn world to the coming of her new reign.
I had to suffer through my sister sending me texts and vids of her watching the ultimate Talking Head last weekend, and now David Byrne is gonna do me like this, THIS weekend??? Ugh. Forever jealous. Teary-eyed emojis.
MAC MILLER + ARIANA GRANDE
Off the heels of releasing her empowering post-break up ballad, “No Tears Left to Cry” (which has been on repeat, DUH), Ariana is clearly having the best week. She’s lowered her ponytail, she’s dyed her hair, and she and Mac Miller look frickin’ adorable together. Can I just BE her? Looks like this might be the summer of Ariana.
BEYONCÉ ROUND TWO
If you thought We Are: The Guard would stop talking about Beyoncé come Weekend 2, then you don’t know us at all. We each have shrines in our closets dedicated to her, and have been endlessly watching her Week 1 performance on repeat. Did you get chills watching that, by the way? Understandable. We watched a legend solidify her legacy.
Coming from someone who has followed TDE for a couple years now, I still think it’s so satisfying to watch how SZA has exploded in the last year. Here she is, in all her glory, also coming off the heels of two successful Coachella performances. #Goals of the week.
Dillon Francis will never not be funny. He can just be soaking in a tub, staying completely silent and staring into my cold, dead eyes and I’ll still be LMAOing and forwarding to my friends. This. Guy.
Ending this week’s Best of Instagram post is a captivating serenade from singer BAZZI. Let that beautiful young voice guide the rest of your week, motivating some happy vibes to round out the month of April. Until next time, kiddies!
