The last week of June has arrived so quickly- and brought with it some amazing indie pop jams. From Still Woozy’s “That’s Life,” to the return of Claire Rosinkranz, we’ve got some early contenders for song of the summer and great vibes for your holiday weekend trips!

STILL WOOZY - THAT’S LIFE

Still Woozy quite literally makes history with his new indie pop single “That’s Life.” As the song attempts to “make peace with life’s inconsistencies,” the music video shows the singer through many eras of the world’s history - stone age, medieval times, you name it! Stay tuned for the release of his album If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is on August 13th.

FAYE WEBSTER - A DREAM WITH A BASEBALL PLAYER

In Faye Webster’s new indie pop song “A Dream With a Baseball Player,” she reveals her love for Atlanta Braves baseball player Ronald Acuña Jr. After watching countless hours of baseball on tour, the singer began creating conversations in her head and wearing his jersey. Faye outlines a classic celebrity crush through the lyrics “How did I fall in love with someone I don’t know?”

WILLOW - LIPSTICK

Following the release of TikTok hit “Transparent Soul,” Willow is back with another punk-influenced indie pop song “Lipstick.” The track is metaphorical in nature, picking apart her identity, feelings of isolation, and mental obstacles she encounters. Sonically inspired by hit acts like Avril Lavigne and Paramore, “Lipstick” has us on the edge of our seats for her July 16th album Lately I Feel Everything.

CLAIRE ROSINKRANZ - BOY IN A BILLION

You’ve definitely heard her viral TikTok sound “Backyard Boy,” but have you heard her new indie pop release “Boy In A Billion?” Claire Rosinkranz (with a little help from her producer, a.k.a. her Dad) finally released the highly anticipated track after her TikTok of the first verse earned almost 1 million likes.

THE MARÍAS - CALLING U BACK

It has arrived- The María’s long awaited album, CINEMA and folks, the verdict is in: we LOVE it. On their dynamic song “Calling U Back,” they combine gentle vocals with sparkly synths. “Calling U Back” features the alluring songwriting and production choices that shine on their earlier releases, as well as empowered lyrics. It’s the perfect evolution.

NAÏKA - FOR GERARD

Naïka’s Lost In Paradise, Pt. 2 has dropped featuring “For Gerard.” On TikTok, she shared the unique story behind the song, explaining that her late relative, Gerard, was known for his whistling. She samples a record of his on “For Gerard,” adding her world pop flair to it.

SURFACES, SALEM ILESE - COME WITH ME

If you’re seeking a song for sunset drives, this is it. Known for their sunshiney, chill sound, Surfaces’ new album Pacifico perfectly exemplifies what they do best. On “Come With Me,” they team up with 10K Projects labelmate and WATG favorite salem ilese. Her stunning voice shines on the second verse.
