The xx’s Southern California homage to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a perfect encapsulation of the 80’s synth-tinged shoegaze nostalgia that the UK threesome hit on so well.  Every moment of this video is a joy to watch, especially the performance from Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown.  The girl is going to be the new star of the throwback generation.  I mean The xx already are.  Seems to me like a perfect match to me.
