International singer Sofi de la Torre prides herself in making “pop done right.” You get that sense immediately; there is nothing bland about Sofi’s rather personal song, despite how melancholy it begins. Her dusky vocals make “Views of You” an incredibly vulnerable pop track, one that will unearth a well of emotions and memories you probably don’t want to relive: of trying to please someone you won’t ever fully satisfy; willingly sacrificing slices of your soul for someone who would never return the favor. Oh, man. Come to think of it, “Views of You” is pretty sad AF -- even Taylor’s verse emits a somber flow.

But hey, there’s nothing wrong with being sad sometimes, and Sofi’s R&B-infused pop makes being lonely sound so good. “Views of You” is a soft, universal love song that tells the perils of heartbreak -- and recalls the stinging cons of being a side chick.
