BEST NEW SONGS: ELOHIM - PIGMENTS

1/18/16

In Los Angeles you’re either a somebody, or you’re nobody. New artist Elohim is taking that idea to its logical conclusion, as no one knows anything about her, including her name or what her face actually looks like. All this has nothing to do with her music, or her latest cut “Pigments,” which is fantastic regardless.

Unlike her previous songs, on “Pigments” the lyrics take center-stage, and don’t worry, we have them for you below. This finally gives listeners a chance to see just how good of a lyricist she is, whoever she is. “Pigments” may not be as danceable and downright groovy as her previous tracks, but it’s still just as catchy. If you were familiar with Elohim before, know that this is a special one. If this is your introduction, get ready for one hell of a hello.

ELOHIM “PIGMENTS”

Here are the lyrics for Elohim - “Pigments,” as promised:

lyrics:

there's an answer to my question but there isn't a why
there's a moment to discover if you're willing to try
you can lead a horse to water
but he may choose to die

every color has a pigment that we can't figure out
we're all starving for the one thing we don't already have
i'm in trouble when i'm breaking but i promise to keep breathing

i can't make you love you
i could change your pigments

when our hearts are beating backwards we don't know where to go
all the waves have changed direction now the difference show
i keep trying to be silent but i can't help of myself from talking

every color has a pigment that we can't figure out
we're all starving for the one thing we don't already have
i'm in trouble when i'm breakin' but i promise to keep breathin'

i can't make you love you
i could change your pigments
