BEST NEW SONGS: NOMBE - WAIT

1/27/17

Los Angeles based new artist NoMBe is releasing his debut album, They Might’ve Even Loved Me, single by single, and the song “Wait” is a sexy smooth track that we can’t wait to share with you today. His sound is self-described as electric soul, and he says his album is a “brutally honest account of romance, sex and heartbreak.”

“Wait” will take a hold of you instantly with his distinctive smoky croon as he sings, “I wont wait this time/ no not now, not again, not much longer.” Funky, stripped down guitar, layered vocals, and subtle electronics create a sizzling atmosphere which builds and builds until breaking just before the 1:00 mark into a ultra cool groove. You’ll find yourself humming along to this in your head for the rest of your day, so we’re warning you now —it’s good.

NOMBE - WAIT

I won't wait this time
no not now, not again, not much longer
heavy weight works my
mind all night it's so hard no to ponder

Let's make it last forever cause the night's still young
It's true I feel the pressure, every time you're gone
as long as we're together
this moments lasts forever

And what will she say? Will my heart be torn? maybe
the same helps to keep her warm Maybe she's too
shy to comment
21 and too hard to call it

Let's make it last forever cause the night's still young
It's true I feel the pressure, every time you're gone
as long as we're together
this moments lasts forever
