Justin Vernon has publicly stated that he has no future plans to make more music as Bon Iver. Luckily for those of us longing for lo-fi reverb-soaked songs that pack an emotional punch, there’s Novo Amor. His latest song, “Anchor,” is another gem from the UK singer-songwriter.

Ali Lacey wastes no time setting the mood on “Anchor.” He creates a lush, dreamy atmosphere from the very first chord struck. In his first offering since Woodgate NY, his debut EP, Lacey is doubling down on the sound that made him a blog darling (including us). If you’ve been searching for a song to get lost in as we fully transition from summer to autumn, you can stop looking. Equally fit for meditation or just spacing out, the soundtrack to your low key moments has arrived.

The music video (which you can view below) is the reworking of a Selkie legend. It stars our boy Lacey and was directed by Josh Bennet. Its understated beauty is a perfect fit for the song.

Anchor is set to come out on October 23rd. You can pre-order it now over on iTunes.
