BEST NEW SONGS: TERROR JR - COME FIRST

We still don’t know who the mysterious new band Terror Jr is (probably not Kylie Minogue though), but we now know that they “Come First” (definitely a double entendre). TJ’s new single was produced by the red-hot Felix Snow and Jerker Hansson, and created by “Campa, Zach Sorgen, Bill, Avena Savage, Double Helix, Lisa, Dr. Olov, David, Psycho Lisa & Kylie.” Perhaps that means something to you, but to me it’s just gibberish.

Anyways, the 5th single from the American-based band, “Come First” feels like the perfect anthem for dating in the entitled-identity-politics era in which we find ourselves. It’s basically a love song that declares “No one loves you like you love yourself, so if we’re gonna be together know I’m looking out for me and my needs first and foremost.” It’s like Ayn Rand’s cream dream.

It’s also absurdly catching. Listen below only if you’re OK with this song being jammed into your cranium for the next fortnight.
