BEST NEW TRACK: IDER - FACE ON

3/6/17

IDER is what has been missing from the pop world. They prove anthems are always necessary in the genre. The new project is Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville who together perform just the right kind of melancholy.  The duo sings in such unison when they sing, it feels as disciplined as a drill march.

Their latest cut, "Face On" is all together razor sharp, and earlier tracks "King Ruby" and "Millions" have the same kind of pristine execution. "Face On" starts thick with lower register, rap-like harmony and then transforms into glistening electronic brilliance. Each verse reinvents and tests the range of talent this twosome has.

IDER - FACE ON

IDER has gained traction in London, having booked festivals like The Great Escape this year and selling out their debut headline show at the one cultural epicenter's famous venues. As for whether or not they will entice fans in the US? That has yet to be determined. Their debut EP, Gut Me Like An Animal, is premiering March 31st via Aesop.
