BEST NEW TRACKS: JACK WHITE - OVER AND OVER AND OVER

3/8/18

When it comes to ripping your face off nowadays, We Are: The Guard cannot recommend a better man for the job than the living legend, Jack White. Off his upcoming third studio album, Boarding House Reach, “Over and Over and Over” is likely to get you up and moving in no time.

JACK WHITE - OVER AND OVER AND OVER

Each time Jack White releases something new, we are all in for a big treat. Since the end of The White Stripes, he formed one of my favorite super-bands The Dead Weather, featuring the vocal talents of my celeb crush Alison Mosshart. Near three turns of the calendar since his last album, Lazaretto, White had been keeping busy with his own record label, signing some notable musician, as well as keeping the art of pressing records alive and thriving. Well, the next release is finally here.

Should you play “Over and Over and Over” as suggested? Sure, why not? Starting off with an explosive guitar play with some pulse-pounding drum beats, this one is just one of those tracks that really will get you as amped as chugging a 5-Hour energy drink. Reminiscent of those rock classics from yesteryear, White's new track is channeling his inner hair metal and David Lee Roth, and cementing his legacy as one of the best rock musician from any era. Backed by some eerie-sound backing vocals, “Over and Over and Over” was well worth the wait. Likely, this upcoming album will see some interesting new vinyl version. Maybe it will feature some of Mosshart's half-smoke cigarettes pressed into them. Why the fuck not? He is Jack White, after all.
