We hope all you hipsters out there are enjoying BitCandy's Summer Sampler, featuring (what we think are) some of the best indie, electro and alt pop Songs of 2012!

But back to the Summer Sampler, and to Plains, whose song, “Innovator,” forms part of our 15-track compilation (which is available for free through our Facebook page right now).
Plains' brainchild, Michael McGinnis, sneakily pumps his crunchy post-punk fullah shiny pop sensibilities, which we can only figure is a consequence of him fleeing Chicago's midwest winters for Miami's coastal stretches.
Check out our favorite Plains' track, “Innovator” – which fuses subtle synth lines with a chugging gloom underbelly... in other words... we think Interpol may have just impregnated Joy Division – below!
