Best New Tracks: Atoms for Peace - Default

9/11/12

Regardless of what your feelings about Thom Yorke and Radiohead are, new music from anyone involved in the band is something to get excited about. Whether it's ambient guitar noise from Johnny Greenwood, or Yorke's new project Atoms for Peace - wait that's actually the name? Atoms for Peace? Holy fuck that is terrible - you know that some good music is coming your way.

Which brings us to today's Latest New Songs, "Default", the first song we've ever heard from Atoms, a project which Yorke describes as a combination of electronic and live music.

Before you watch the official video for "Default" below, we must warn you that it is actually tremendously boring. Not the song, which is pretty great in it's own right, but the video. You could just hit play and then stare at the nearest blank wall and have roughly the same experience, cause fuck does this blow.

Seriously though, did I over-exaggerate just how bland and uninteresting that video is? Didn't think so.

You can download "Default" now over at iTunes. Atoms for Peace's debut album is set to drop in 2013.

Thanks for stopping by Bitcandy's Blogs On Music, where we've taken shits that were more action-packed than this video. Another great (yet typical) Radiohead song though…

Oh and if you ever thought that Bon Jovi is Better than Radiohead. You might want to read our piece on that here.
