Best of Weekly Electro (7 Tracks)

3/6/12

Stay Thirsty, my friends.  It's the fake "Dos Equis most interesting man in the world" bringing you this month's installment of Best Of the Week - Electro!  Yeah we filtered like hmm...ohhh...yeah, about 500 friggin tracks we went through, narrowing it down to 10 bangers for this weekly BitCandy LA Music Blog post.  The listening was done in between coffees and “Storage Wars” and “Ghost Adventures” reruns (which have no electro music so we make our own soundtracks to supplement A&E).  So here ya go...these stinky finger but oh so sweet smelling electro bangers.

Miike Snow - “Paddling Out (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)”

Where is the center of electro?  Paris, London, Los Angeles?  Nope...Austin, Texas.  In between bull horns and six shooters and oil wells you’ll find Wolfgang Gartner crushing it.

The Bloody Beetroots Feat Dennis Lyxzen "Church Of Noise (Crazy Puppet's Remix)"

Another badass BBR remix. What else would you expect?

DiscoMirage - "Disco Mirage (WAEK Remix)"

If everyone listened to more French house the world would be a happier place with more beautiful people.

Foxes “Youth” (Adventure Club Remix)

Foxes, this years big buzz indie/singer/songwriter coming out of the UK

Clockwork "Hulk (Dillon Francis Remix)"

Best comment on SoundCloud: "Oh fucking God - I think I came... Digging ya tune Mate."  (I’m not sure I would disclose that no matter how much i loved the track..unless the track was made by Milla Jovovich...did u know she's a singer/songwriter?  For Realz)

LMFAO "Sorry For Party Rocking (Wolfgang Gartner Remix)"

Love or hate LMFAO, indulge in this big banger remix by a man named Wolfgang...who we previously identified lives in Austin, Texas.

Dada Life “Rolling Stone T Shirt”

One of my favorite tracks of the year.  Torture is having this track for 6 months and being so ultra  trustworthy, not being able to post it (cuz i’m a good little boy).

Lana Del Rey "Blue Jeans (Kris Menace Remix)"

For all you pretty hipster girls with ugly bangs who need to dance, cry, and feel ‘liberated’ at the same time, this goes out to you.  Not necessarily a club banger but have to say I dig this remix.

So...there you have it.  Now we get to do it all over again next week. Song 1, Song 2, Song 200...yada yada yada :)  Catch us next week on the BitCandy LA Music Blog...where next week we'll be brought to you by Captain Morgan.  No ... Sailor Jerry's ... that guy is the bomb when it comes to rums.
