BEST NEW TRACKS: CHERUB "DISCO SHIT"
Anyone with a pulse and a faint interest in indie electronica has been waiting with bated breath to see how Cherub would follow up their massive underground hit, “Doses and Mimosas.” Wait no more motherfluffers, cause Nashville’s favorite sons are back with their best new track, “Disco Shit.”
If the song’s title didn’t give it away, I’ll put it in all caps for you: THIS IS A DISCO SONG!!?!?! Sounding more like Chromeo than ever before, Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber try their hand at some Saturday Night Fever ish. “Disco Shit” is the latest track we’ve heard off the duo's forthcoming major label debut, Year of Caprese. Looks like we’ve got another signifier for 2014, to go along with Year of the Body (mine) and Year of the Horse (Chinese). These are getting hard to keep track of.
Anyhow, listen to this bitch’ disco cut below:
CHERUB “DISCO SHIT”
Year of Caprese is out May 27th via Columbia Records. Pre-order it on iTunes. Or just wait til it leaks and illegally download it like the rest of us…
Seriously though, you should buy music. Especially if you like it.
If you’re looking for more info on Cherub, peep the New Artist Find the exquisite Jess Grant did on them last year.
Thanks for stopping by Bitcandy, where anything and everything keeps us up all night.
