GLASS ANIMALS WANT TO CLAIM HIT OF THE SUMMER, BUT NOT WITH “IT’S ALL SO INCREDIBLY LOUD”

8/16/20

Glass Animals’ “Gooey” was a sleeper hit. The track dropped in February of 2014, but took a little while to build some steam. Then it built fast. Instantly inescapable. By the end of the year, the silky smooth pop funk tune was one that would be forever caught in all of our heads.

The release of Dreamland ain’t playing by those same rules. Almost instantly “Your Love (Déjà Vu)”, “Dreamland,” and “Heat Waves” charted in America, each one offering a vastly different sound from the other. Glass Animals has proven that they’re no flash-in-the-pan act.  They, in fact, have tracks upon tracks upon tracks.

They’ve already got three tracks of the summer, so why would they need a fourth?

--And that’s where “It’s All So Incredibly Loud” comes in.

GLASS ANIMALS - “IT’S ALL SO INCREDIBLY LOUD”

This is a track that 1000% needs to be listened to through headphones. Or on a really powerful speaker system. Or hell, both at the same time. There’s so much going on here, but to a casual listener “It’s All So Incredibly Loud” could potentially be misconstrued as one of the records’ more insignificant tracks. That is, if played through the tinny speakers of your phone or laptop.

We don’t want that. We want this building frenzy of anxiety, pain, and doubt to hit you with its full intensity. So turn this one up all the way before you hit play for the first time because this is the band at its most affecting.

It’s a shame that we’re living in a quarantine world, because this track is BEGGING to be experienced live in concert.

Y’all can have your hits of the summer. Me? I’ll be brooding with this one in my headphones.

From deep within the murky depths of the Los Angeles River emerged a creature: 50% raver, 50% comedian, 10% Robotcop. Kurt Kroeber doesn’t own a dog, operates Soundbleed (the world’s only dance party comedy talk show rave), and is down to party with you. Come up some time and say “Hey dude!” But definitely make sure to casually drop the secret Illuminati password.
