After making people the world 'round reconsider their stance on the British with her stunning debut album, Devotion, in 2012, Jessie Ware is back again with another best new track, "Tough Love."
Teaming up with Osaka duo Benzel after they provided her with exquisite production on her cover of Brownstone's "If You Love Me," Ware reminds everyone of why they fell in love with her in the first place. (If you're smart like me you hadn't forgot.) Adding some warm synths to her trademark sad restraint, Ware confidently builds on the sound that has already won over critics and fans alike. What I really love about this song is the contrast of the smooth and relaxing music with the heartache of the lyrics. Just a great song all in all, can't wait to hear what's next from Ms. Ware.
