LOST FREQUENCIES - BEAT OF MY HEART

Belgian DJ and probable sweetheart, Lost Frequencies, just released his latest album Alive and Feeling Fine over the weekend. The new work includes past songs in his discography, some remixes, and some newer tracks like the one below. LOST FREQUENCIES - BEAT OF MY HEART

“Beat of My Heart” is a simple song with an acoustic guitar leading the way through the composition. Lost Frequencies’ signature electronic elements start to surface and the track becomes a slow burn of sorts; a calming and hypnotic tune to fall asleep to or to zone out about the irreversible effects of climate change — You know, little things.

The track’s got one or two lyrics throughout, on repeat:

“You know that I’m leaving / It’s only for sure.”
“You’re like the beat of my heart, beat goes on…”

So while the song sounds nice, it is in fact a harsh break-up song that leaves no consolation for the ex. Don’t worry. You’ll move on. Do I love to see it? A little — I wish I had Lost Frequencies’ way with words. Maybe I can hire him for my next break-up?
