RUN THE JEWELS - LEGEND HAS IT

In all honesty, I could probably just put a couple of fire emojis here and you’d totally get the idea but, you know, that wouldn’t be too professional or in depth— Killer Mike and El-P are back with a brand new Run the Jewels track called “Legend Has It.” The song is off of their upcoming third album, RTJ3, and it’s a fiery energy-charged 3 and a half minutes that shows no mercy whatsoever.

“Legend Has It” comes at you full force right from the beginning with retro monster movie-style electronics (you’ll understand what I mean once you listen, trust me), a hard-hitting beat, and non-stop attention grabbing verses. Almost every line is worth mentioning, but a few seemed to really stand out. Like Killer Mike’s verse about half way in: “We are the murderous pair/ that went to jail and we murdered them there/ then went to hell and discovered the devil/ delivered some hurt and despair.” Fire.

In classic RTJ fashion, Run the Jewels Three will be free to download but available to purchase on vinyl and CD.
