Today's Candy: Sia - Breathe Me

5/5/12

Over the last seven days, we have revisited some super angsty tracks from the likes of Alanis Morissette, Janes Addiction and even fucking Asia, but BitCandy want to wind down your working week with some crystalline indie ambiance from Australia's Sia.

The ever-tender anthem of fragility, “Breathe Me,” is taken from Sia's third album, 2004's Colour the Small One - but you may best know the track for closing the series finale of the HBO drama, Six Feet Under (gulp).

Check out the song's official video, which was directed by Daniel Askill and constructed with over 2500 polaroids, below.

Additionally indulge in this live version, recorded for KCRW radio in 2007 much before she started tearing up (well cheesing out a little bit but still in a creddy way) with David Guetta and "Wild Ones."

"Breathe Me" Lyrics:

Help, I have done it again
I have been here many times before
Hurt myself again today
And, the worst part is there's no-one else to blame

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small
I'm needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

Ouch I have lost myself again
Lost myself and I am nowhere to be found,
Yeah I think that I might break
I've lost myself again and I feel unsafe

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small
I'm needy
Warm me up
And breathe me

Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small
I'm needy
Warm me up
And breathe me
