BEST NEW TRACKS: TRUST "RESCUE, MISTER"

1/10/14

A lot has changed for Trust since their gloomy, underrated 2012 debut record, TRST. Luckily one of those things wasn’t their sound, as the best new track “Rescue, Mister” shows.

Trust has gone from duo to a solo project, with collaborator Maya Postepski leaving Robert Alfons all by his lonesome sound. “Rescue, Mister” is the first single off the follow up to TRST: Joyland. Thus far the loss of Postepski seems to have a clarifying effect on Trust’s sound, with Alfons playing to a similar vibe that won over fans and critics on TRST, but things are tighter on “Rescue, Mister.” It's just as dark and deep as you remember. Hear for yourself below:

Joyland is out March 4th via Arts & Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by Bitcandy, where we’re both rescuer and mister.
