NEW ARTIST FINDS ROOM8

8/24/15

I’m going to warn you right away— Once you hear Los Angeles-based artist/producer duo Room8 you’re going to become completely obsessed. Members Ezra Reich and Nic Johns have been creating music together since January of 2012, and their sound consists of everything from electropop, dance, and of course, tons and tons of wonderfully shimmery synths. If you’re in need of some seriously catchy synth-pop that will put other electropop acts to shame, then look no further because Room8 are the guys you’ve been waiting for.

ROOM8 - THIS PLACE AGAIN

On their latest track, “This Place Again,” the duo teams up with Russian singer-songwriter Polina to take you on a wonderfully dreamy synth-filled journey. Things kick off with pulsating electronics and glimmering synths as Polina sings, “I saw your face and it felt just like yesterday,” and “I want to get lost in you,” making it a blissful song about rekindling an old flame. Things switch up a bit after the 2:50 mark when you’re drawn into an uplifting breakdown full of fuzzy synths, steel drums, and a wonderfully bouncy beat that I totally love. “This Place Again” is simply an insanely catchy and magical track that you’ll want to listen to again and again.

ROOM8 - NO HARD FEELINGS

“No Hard Feelings” is an adorable bubblegum electropop track that you wont be able to get enough of. This time they have singer King Deco providing the sugary sweet vocals, as she sings lyrics about moving on from a relationship with no hard feelings. “I’ll still call on the weekends/ we can still be friends/ I’m already over you,” she croons as pulsating bass-synths carry you into the lullaby-inspired, sparkling chorus. It’s a ridiculously cute song that will have you singing to yourself all day long.

If you’re anything like me, you’re now totally obsessed with these guys. So head on over to their Facebook page, give them a “like,” and show them your love and support! And if you need even more BitCandy-approved new music in your life, click here.
