There are few artists as confident as Kyan Palmer, which is probably why his contribution to our Indie Christmas compilation is so sweet. Palmer clearly isn't afraid to experiment with his pristine vocals, which may explain why he's filling BIG blue suede shoes this winter season.

If you told me that dark, dirge-y electropop group MXMS tried their hand at recording a Christmas cover song, I would have laughed at you. But they’re totally part of We Are The Guard Indie Christmas compilation, and they chose such a fitting, epic song for the holidays that it could be the best indie Christmas song of the whole bunch.
Gabriel Black’s sound is relatable; it’s genuine, DIY indie, and he groups it with videos of his unique sketches, personalizing his music even further. Hurricane presents itself as a stark emo anthem; the guitar riffs churning along the track are just the right amount of pop punk and fit well with the themes of the song: love sucks.
